Tonight will be fun!

I was invited to give a talk at the ASNSW digital imaging section meeting tonight, on imaging with a dobsonian!

Of course I gratiously accepted.

The talk is on tonight, and i'll be giving it on "Lunar/Planetary Imaging with a Dobsonian", focusing on my methods both before I had tracking (the dark old days :P) and now that I do have tracking.

Should be good fun!

Thanks to Tony (Itchy) for recommending me and Phil Montgomery for the opportunity to spread the dobsonian love!

Thanks guys.

Had a good night last night, met up with Tony, Ken, Richard Heggie, Phil Montgomery and about 6 other guys whose names I can't remember or wasn't told :) All stallwarts in the ASNSW digital imaging section :)

My presentation and talk appeared to be well-received, even though none of the guys had dobs, and they were all deep-space imagers - not solar system imagers :)

Some of them had heard of IIS, some of them had not, but I got the chance to explain about the site and they seemed genuinly interested and hopefully we'll see a few of them sign up and contribute, too.

Was a fun night, thanks again to Phil, Tony and Richard for the opportunity to talk and show off my best images :)

Yea, it was fun!!

Thanks Mike, for an interesting and informative presentation. I think most people were stunned with your patience and dedication to get the most out of your gear and produce such great results.

You are welcome back any time!
