More Bungle Bungle Nightscapes

Greg's beautiful 'hanging garden' shot reminds me of one I did in the Bungle Bungles last year...at a similar time of the lunar month. Same setup as Greg, but I went for the curved circular look. 5 image 14mm stitch.

Also attached are a couple from my more recent trip. The 2nd image is a single 8mm fisheye shot, while the 3rd @ 24mm.


ps. Please add my vote for a dedicated 'Nightscapes' section. Would be great to more easily browse for and chat about these sorts of images...both stills and timelapse.

Gorgeous!! Great shots Colin :thumbsup: I love those first two in particular. Stunning scenery and very well processed.

.....and Yes! To any mods/admins out there, can we pretty please cherry on top and all that, have a night scapes section. :prey: It is becoming an increasingly more and more popular field of astrophotography that I would love to be able to browse on this site without having to look through three different image categories to find them all. Often one single widefield image could qualify to be put in any one of those sections.

Nice ones Colin. I bet the moon phase is a lot less than it first appears in the images, especially the fisheye with nice milky way.

Not sure what the chances are of Mike seeing this thread while he's away but his Kimberley photos would be a great way to launch the new Nightscapes section! ;)

Phil, I think the full dome shot was around 35% moon, while the 8mm was around 20%. So yes, the moon's starting to wash out the 1st image.
