Isn't this always the same. You finally get your autoguider in the mail and you're greeted with a cloudy overcast evening.

Naturally your Saturday and Sunday night is booked out too, just to add insult to injury.

Don't worry Chris....
I'm sure the rest of us Brisbanites will appreciate your sacrifice...;)
Or bring on the bad weather ourselves...

Cheers,
Ken.

What :eyepop: You mean to say other things take precedence over a clear night

But then again, I had that problem too.......................until my mate took my wife off my hands! Now I can do what I like! :D

I hear you Chris. however my frustration was not the weather tonight. My Melbourne skies are crisp and clear tonight (for a change ). The clouds cleared tonight for me to try out my new DBK41 camera to have a go at Saturn but... earlier on in the evening I extended the primary mirror collimation screws to achieve focus for the camera. Must of measured wrong because I'm out by about 5-10mm. Just on the tip of focus. :mad2::mad2:

Sending some clear skies your way.... ;)

Chris, it is well known that the number of cloudy nights is directly proportional to the dollar amount of recent aquisitions. So considering you just purchased a guider, you are in for 2-3 nights. Just imagine if you slapped down $2k on a new OTA ;)

Interesting, especially given it was not my choice to be booked out on Sunday. :help:
