Geeday all,

here's an image I did recently of Omega Centauri - NGC 5139. It the similar to another image I recently posted on IIS, but this image has less masking and is wider field.

It's 9 x 30 second exposures @ ISO800 with the modified Canon 300D on the 12-inch f/5 GSO telescope - handguided with 4.5" guidescope. Images are dark-subtracted, flat fielded, offset adjusted with IRIS. Image is masked
to preserve the stars at the core, in PS.

Higher Res. Image here

Nish shot, including the masking to preserve the core as mentioned.

Beautiful image Paul - well done. Its well worth a look at the hi res version where the stars are better resolved and the individual star colours are gorgeous.

Cheers

Dennis

Thanks guys,

yeah Dennis, that's what I liked about this image too - the star colors that you can see.
