We were visiting friends in Canberra over the weekend, and killed a little bit of time slacklining in the park. Good fun!

Here's a selection of positions we got into while trying to maintain balance... with some captions.:P

1. Hello! Novice here...
2. First tentative steps.
3. How its done.
4. The sugar glider position.
5. Hello! Over here!
6. Left turn.
7. Highside!
8. Good throw!

Hey Al

Was this a practice run for your walk over Niagara Falls…

Wow – there must be a lot of tension in that band to support the weight of you talented bunch of tight rope walkers and acrobats!

Cheers

Cool :)

Did you see Modern Family the other night? Phil Dunphy (the Dad) could never walk across the tight rope when it low to the ground like that, because he 'knew he could fall' safely.

He only succeeded when they raised it to a higher height that you had to concentrate harder because falling wasn't going to be pleasant :)

For something that's called a slackline there's a lot more tension than I expected. Its basically a 2.5T ratchet strap tensioned as tight as you can get it. Slack???

No, didn't see it. I'm not sure that psychology works in my head!:P
