Hi everyone,

here's an image I did recently of a favourite visual star cluster NGC 3532.

It's 4 x 1 minute exposures @ ISO-800 with the modified Canon 300D on the 12-inch f/5 GSO telescope and Baader Coma Corrector. Image is handguided with 4.5" guidescope. Images are dark-subtracted, flat fielded, offset adjusted with IRIS.

Gee good star colours there, the blues and oranges stand out well.

That is a wonderful image Paul. I was gazing at this lovely cluster through our Vixen 30x125 bino's last week and you have really captured its breathtaking beauty.

Cheers

thanks guys,

I was infact surprised to see the colours of the stars in this image. Thanks for your comments, glad you liked the image. I think I'll go back and image this cluster again, but this time extend the imaging time so I can capture the colours a little more smoothly.
