Canon 20D (modded) @ ISO 400, Tamron 90mm F2.8 @ F4
No guiding.
Stacked in DSS and processed in CS3.

The first image shows the entire constellation.

Look how far the dust extends. I don't think I have a chance of getting that with an unmodded camera.

I love that area to image and you have made a great widefield. Are you taking the 8" GSO RC to Astrofest as that would give a nice close up.

I need to work on the focuser before then. There's a bit of slop in it and I think it may be the cause of my eggy stars.

Hello JJJ,
Beautiful shot. Adam and I are in the process of planning our Astrofest visit. Firstly with the wives and then with school as we are trying to go up on first Thursday night (early) have Friday of school and do saturday .sun and monday and go back Tuesday morning. All in the name of professional development. Will have to catch up soon.

Just have to be careful taking long exposures of dusty nebula lest you get dust bunnies on the sensor. :rofl:
