Stunning show on TV news this evening from down Invercargill way. Also being seen as far north as Gisborne. Not making it to Auckland though ... :shrug:

We've had weeks on end of glorious clear skies...until the aurora was due, and then the snow cloud arrived! Ah well.

I think it's clear tonight, so I may stick my head outside to see what's up and about.

Thick black clouds at Tinderbox, just south of Hobart at the moment.
