What scope to start with?

I bought an eq6 today, no scope yet. Thinking of a SW ED80 to start with and later buying a larger scope and using the 80 as a guide scope. What are your thoughts.

Or you could do what i did and get a whoping great big 8inch newt and struggle for years till you get used to German equatorial mounts :P

Why not the ED100, same size, not much difference in price?

;) Yep the ED100 is close in price , If I was a totally visual observer thats the way I would go , Mark , good point .
But if AP was my next step along this path , ( EQ6 mount ? ) the ED80 would be the better choice , so Buzaud whats your plans ?
