I got sick of waiting for an adapter to show up to connect the Atik 11000 to the FS-60 Flattener so I set it up using my t-threaded adapters to get some idea of the problems I'll need to deal with using this combo. I gotta say, it's way flatter than I thought it would be on this large sensor, see ccdi plot, and I have round stars right to the edge of frame. Looks like there is some droop in the focuser which I'll try and sort out and maybe some reflection issues in the RHO shot but still, this tiny scope still amazes me.

Here's a couple of test shots simply stretched, straight out of maxim to get an idea of the field of view, and it's huge.

Pinpoint tells me FL is 375mm and Pixel Scale is 4.95. This t-threaded adapter is 2mm too long.

Not bad at all, Robin! I just happen to have a FS-60 as well.

Those shots look great for a first go. Great FOV and nice round stars.

The one of Rho Ophiuchus should look spectacular with a few hours of data.

Great field of view.

Not surprised there is some focuser droop - big camera, little scope!

Don't you have a reducer for the fsq106? That'd see more light.

I think rho needs a dark site Geoff, never done well shooting dust from here :(

I'm really missing having 7 filters in the one wheel :(

Half the trouble might be the adapter I'm using Dave. It's a flimsy step down ring off ebay. I've just heard the real one will be posted next week
