I'm having an astronomy night at Berowra Public School this Friday night - its also a one year anniversary for the Creative Berowra group who put on Berowra markets. So far I have 3 telescopes and two operators and would like at least one more scope and two more operators.
Weatherzone predicts mostly sunny for Friday . So I hope it is right - we may cancel before hand if things aren't looking good.
I am looking for one or two people to help show a mixture of kids and adults , Saturn and a few deep sky objects. Is there someone in the Hornsby and North of Hornsby area ( or however far you would like to travel )who might be able to help out?
We have 60 registrations so far so numbers could reach 80 to 100. None of the scopes available so far have drives so whats involved would be centering the object for each new viewer and showing them where the focus is if needed. Viewing is from 7 00 pm and should last a few hours ?
There is a gourmet barbecue supplied and a jazz singer as well as Star Wars movie in the big hall for kids. If you want to bring your family they will all be catered for ...
