Hi Guys, I just cant help myself when it comes to large plans flying low, they just fascinate me. :shrug:
Anyway here are a couple of shots of the elusive C17 Globmaster flying out of, and into Darwin. :)

Good Shots there Leon.... Had a 'walk through ' one of those at an Airshow at Amberley Air Force Base last year ... didn't have them in my days in the RAAF.... Nice Aeroplane thou'.

Great shot Leon! Especially the head on look.
I see them fly over my way quite a bit and I often drive past Richmond RAAF base. They sometimes do drills flying low and slow in a loop around the area doing drop off drills. Its such an amazing looking jet. So huge.
I haven't seen one take off yet. I hope to drive past one time one is taking off.

I love how these planes seem to just hang up there.
Reminds me of a quote from "Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy" I think when describing those Ginormous spaceships that obliterated the Earth.
"They hung in the sky the same way that bricks don't".....or something like that.

Good to see you finally got your shots of the C-17, nice work. We are set to have six of these aircraft...one alone takes up a lot of space.

Thanks guys, yea, I'm pretty happy, but i still head down to the end of the runway from time to time to see if i can get that one magical shot, something different, you know??

Been in that exact aircraft a number of times while in the RAAF.
