Managed to get colour and NB data without the Moon last night.

15x2 min of R,G and B. 10x4 min of NII and OIII 3nm NB.

Blended image of colour and NB at native sensor resolution 6MB

At these short exposures flexure does not show up with the wood camera holder.

Hi Bert,

Sounds like your getting on top of things, your image sure brings out the star clouds never seen the lagoon and trifid like this before.

Cheers,

Justin.

Great stuff Bert.

What camera and scope (or lens) were you using out of interest?

Astrograph is an Officina Stellare RH200 which has a focal length of 600mm and is F3, yes F3! Clear aperture is 200mm.
FLI ten position filter wheel CFW-3-10 with 50mm square filters.
Astrodon E series LRGB and HA, NII, SII and OIII 3nm NB filters. Also a continuum filter 5nm.
Camera is a FLI PL16803 which has a sensor size 36.8 X 36.8 mm.
The FoV of this system is 3.5 X 3.5 degrees.
Mount is a Software Bisque PMX.

At the moment I am trying to master and tune this very demanding system.

Thanks Leon, this system is very fast but needs a lot of care to get good results.

I really like this field of view alot. Nice image, just seems to lack a bit of saturation.

Just contemplate the faint stuff that is clearly there above the noise and you will not notice the lack of cartoon contrast.
