Hi all, I have just uploaded an image of NGC3532, the wishing well cluster. It is an object very nice both visually and on images, thanks to the colorful members of the cluster and the rich Ha nebulosity that permeate the area. Here is the link:

NGC3532 (http://www.glitteringlights.com/Images/deepsky/13667287_7Mtr58#%21i=1844260645&k=FJjVKwq&lb=1&s=X3)

Not a super-deep image, however a pleasant portion of sky :)

HaRGB composition, details are on the page.

Hope you will enjoy this one ;)

Very nice Marco.

I love the way you handle Ha. I think you handle it the best of anyone.

Greg.

Wow that's pretty! My friends call this The Black Arrow cluster for the empty patch running right to left in this image with a vaguely arrow shaped head on the left hand side of the 'channel'.

Cheers,
Cam

Very nice definition like Greg said, a beautiful image. The Ha is very nicely presented.

Thanks Nick !

Opla' Larry, thanks!

Thanks Steve, it was not actually a difficult image to process, the Ha in the area is quite strong and part of the beauty of this cluster..

Thanks Cam, I can see why your friends use this nick name ;)

thanks Mike, I had a chance too to enjoy a visual view of this cluster when I was down under, pity our eye is not so sensitive to Ha to fully appreciate the richness of the area :)

Hi Marco,

Spectacular colours in this image!
How much of these colours are apparent in your final image before processing?

Cheers,

Justin.

Hi Justin, thanks. Colors were already well defined in the original RGB, clearly I processed in a way to boost them, in particular on stars. The beauty of NGC3532 is the presence of several white/blue and yellow stars in the cluster and this makes it very nice. Ha color was boosted consistently by the addition of the narrowband image, having Ha (and OIII) taken with the specific filters and added to a RGB base has the great advantage to add a lot of evidence to those nebulosities without affecting the size of the stars :) If you interested to see the only RGB simply stretched I can send it in your mail ;)
