The first photo is of Poulnabrone Dolmen near Aillwee. It is dated at over 5000 year old.

The second photo is of the Giant's Causeway, County Antrim. Simply spectacular.

We spent a month in this wonderful land. We got to see the sun rise on the east coast and set on the west coast in the same day. We saw lots of clouds and some snow. Love the place, the people and the craic.

"May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields."

I had a few to choose from but in the end chose the one I did mainly for the colours.

The couple here I considered see as a Donkey is one of the means of travel used in Santorini mainly as a novelty for tourists. The wife roped me into riding one of these things with my son which was all the excitement I needed for the trip. I thought about posting a pic of us riding one but my ugly mug won't do it any favours.

The other is a kwaka parked outside our hotel on the old road to Oia, I think with the signs and backdrop it's a nice photo.

So many 'travel' choices (good topic!), I debated between a pretty one from a ski-touring trip in Norway, or ones from Iceland a few months after the eruption of Eyjafjallajökull. Some of tha most challenging 'travel' I've done, when the visibility dropped to a fraction of even the first photo below:

Yep, unfortunately ( and this is no excuse....just an explanation....),
We - my sister and nephews - were in a long line to have a look at the innards of a C17. I was twitching thinking we would not make the fly by of the B52.
We managed to get out of the C17 in time but the distance to the runway was to great to make it on time for a closer pic .
Then on top of that I forgot to change the ISO after being inside the beast.......
