yes i do have a telescope but i not sure how far it goes. It not a big one, it personal one. HAHA girls they are better, i have one girl which i decided to ask her out, she must be around 13 years old but i am 15 anyway, is that alright bout it? Lucky me!!!!! GO EARTH!!!!!

Hi guys, I may aswell tack on here since im also a newby from Aus. My name's Lee, im a geologist currently living in central QLD. My main passion is photography, with a 300mm lens im able to get fairly good shots of the moon (http://leopold.id.au/upload/moon140406wm.jpg) , occasionally a clear night allows a shot of a constellation (http://leopold.id.au/upload/orion.jpg) or a nebula (http://leopold.id.au/upload/orion_nebula.jpg) but thats about it. Would some day like to get a scope so i can hook my camera.
My main space facinations would be the gas giants, particularly Jupiter, and the moons of distant planets such as triton, titan, mimas and io. Be good to have some informative discussions with you all :)

Mate, I would reccomend visual astronomy if you are just getting started as astro imaging is a demanding and expensive introduction to our great hobby. I used to be a professional photographer and I never felt the compulsion to image the heavens seriously. Once you have a good grounding in visual astronomy then by all means try astroimaging.
