More of the same - see file names for shot times. Baader OD5 film, GSO RC8, Canon 5DmkII - single shots taken at intervals. Here's one at full resolution. (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13644418/iis/2012-06-06-TransitOfVenus-1000.jpg)

I think the Baader film is much sharper than the Thousand Oaks glass filters, but I like the pretty eyepiece views of the TO filters. The glass filters also give me a bit more confidence though - despite what people say about the strength of the Baader film, I find it disturbingly easy to cut through!

continued... plus a few other shots:

* The gear.
* A good mate of mine imaging through a telescope for the first time.
* Venus-and-sunspot trails.
* The previous shots assembled into a collage for my Facebook cover photo.

We had a few minutes of fantastic seeing around midday - the view through my 10" Dob's full aperture film was rock steady at 110x and we could see individual granules very clearly.

The view through the Coronado PST was spectacular - H-alpha observing was new to everyone there, so we were thoroughly entertained :)
