With all these magnificent images in the other posts its a bit embarrassing to show my simple effort :) Images are from about 8.20am to 9.15am when cloud and rain ended the show. Mark

Nice work there.
The projection method I feel works well when showing many people this sort of event.
I did the same thing last Transit ( 2004 I think ) and showed a load of people in my local area.
I love the UNITRON scopes.
I used to have one, and they are crisp and clear.

Well done.

Does this method work well with viewing sun spot activity as well? I'm interested in setting something up for back yard monitoring.

Well one big advantage of eyepiece projection is that it is in color!

I got some data with my telescope but it's all in B and W

What you got is great

You should be happy not embarrassed in the least

Beautifully clear. I did the same with my unitron 152. Towards the end of the transit we had some wispy cloud over Brisbane. Watching it move across the sun on the projection screen was unreal.

Nice scope BTW
