I was thinking of purchasing a LXD-75 10SN, would like to hear opinions from people who have used one. I have a canon 350d and my main concern is this combination may be to heavy for the mount. Thanks guys

I've been looking at eq mounts for a few months. Sounds like the LXD-75 still has issues with slipping gears. For a few hundred more you can get a HEQ5 with goto which is somewhat sturdier and still portable, but most people here will suggest an EQ6 for photography with the payload you're looking at.

The SN's suffer from a little coma at the edges of the images but not too bad, however a Baader Multi Purpose Coma corrector will almost eliminate all the coma, it worked surprisingly well with my even faster F3.6 , 6 inch SN.

I have one of these scopes ( with field flattener ) on the Losmandy G11 and is a good match for that mount , I never even sat the scope on the LXD55 mount the scope seems over kill for that mount and I think the only change with the LXD75 are the bearings , Bintel won't even sell them only the 8" .
The LXD55 now has the 5" Borg ( about 5 KG ) on there and works really well with 3 min unguided exposures .
A good low cost mount mabe the EQ6 for the 10" or buy the 8" on the LXD75 still a big scope for the mount check how others have gone , still need to flatten the field though.
In imaging its all about the mount .
Another thing to consider is upgradeing the focuser the one included is a joke if you want to do a lot of imaging.
Like most things that I can afford I've had to do quite a bit of work to get the system usable , the Losmandy included.

Thanks guys. After looking into I have decided that this scope isn't really what I am looking for. Just by chance I have come across a second-hand lx90 that I will be looking at tomorrow.
