Well what are the chances of having two fantastic nights in a week. I've got my fingers crossed for another pearler. It's looking great atm. Scopes out there coolin' down.

What's everyone else up to tonight? GRS Meridian cross at 01:50 tomorrow. :evil: (no transits though :sad:)

Yep. That's about the size of it, John. Might be nice behind the cloud band though? Might boost the transparency early tomorrow??? Unless the band keeps flowing all night? Don't think the jetstream's too flash though?

Well we'll try to do it for you tonight guys. I'll let you know what the seeing is like after I do my collimation, but by the looks of what's happening in my reticle (drifting atm) I'd put it at a good 8+ atm :cool:

I would if I had one matt. Just a little ol' 8" meade on this Losmandy. I'd get one if they put a mirror lock on it. ........and if I could afford it :P

Actually Matt, I already know wot this C9.25 is capable of, it's my seeing thats letting the team down. :(

I've had the thing out with the cooler going since sundown. Very little star twinkle. 8/10. I'm almost ready to play Mr. Ponders. :) Time for a spot of collimation before proceedings begin though. ;)

BTW I thought I'd better 'keep up with the times' & teach myself all about this LR convolution etc etc in astra image, so I've been doing that most of the day. Yup! I can see benefits coming from it :thumbsup:
