Accidental eclipse

With all the worrying about clear skies for Wednesday I had forgotten all about the lunar eclipse. Went out to practise focussing and test the gear for the Venus transit and was greeted with an eclipsed Moon :thumbsup:

This was shot with an f/7 80ED, 2x teleconverter and D7000, at ISO1600 and 1/500s.

Indeed. While I was schlepping the tripod, mount etc outside the Moon was still full, by the time I found my T-adapter, extension tubes and cable release it had a bite taken out of it.
