I went to the David Malin awards exhibition tonight at the RIAus building (In Exchange Place) and attended the VIP launch. It was great to finally see one of the exhibitions. We dont the exhibition here very often, but a sponsor came forward and put up the dosh to support the exhibition. Nice man too, jetting off to Zurich on Wednesday (what a life Hey).
Got to rub shoulders with the Science Minister and RIAus chief, who both asked lots of questions about my imaging. Nice of them to be so interested.
Caught up with Wayne England and a few other guys I know from ASSA and some guys that should enter the competition.
I was somewhat surprised to see that not all the winning entries were not here. I have taken this up with the CWAS committee to see why a few images were not present. I do think Peter Wards image of the sun is a bit too small and should be around A3 in size so that you can in fact see the detail.
Overall though an interesting event, with lots of drinks and food. I encourage all people from SA or in SA to go in and take a look at the exhibition.
