Hi all,

I have a nice ADM rail mounted on top of my SCT. Using this I have been putting an old refractor on top as a guide scope using tube rings. I am looking at a WO refractor to replace it, but notice that it has an L bracket style mount. Does any know if they are removeable, or is there room for the tube ring to go on the focuser side?
(I am happy with my ADM tube rings, so I want to find a refractor to suit what I have. I am looking at a WO 80mm f/6.8 since the extra focal length would suit going with my main scope.)

Any one out there have experience with the L brackets and tube rings?

Hi Grant

I have the WO 66mm which I purchased from Ron at Sirius Optics a few years ago, and the tripod mounting foot is removable. I thin k there are two dome head, socket cap screws (8mm?) that unscrew to release the mounting foot.

Here is a photo showing the WO 66mm mounted in rings on a WO Losmandy style plate.

Cheers

Dennis
