Hi all,
Another target from Leyburn, The Orion 8" F4 with a borrowed MPCC, The Collimation was a bit off at this stage, Was just great being in amongst it again actually, minor technicals didnt really set in untill the last few nights of a 5 days astro feast : ) They have been few & far ? ?

Image stats = Stock 600D, 12 x 120sec, RegistaX & CS3 & hope it worth the squizz

Hi Bob,

Great colours you achieved in that image, and glad to see you have things sorted.
Look forward to your next image.

Cheers,

Justin.

It's a very nice M8! Nice colour scheme. It's one of those things about astrophotography that we can be creative on how an object looks.

Great colours, Bob!

Is it just me, or do the stars look a little strangely-shaped on the large version?

Glad you like Lester, all the best u2

TY jjj, trying to adjust framing for compositon before the Image run

Thanx Daniel, quite enjoyed processing this Neb, a brightish subject and some semi solid data made life easier !

Cheers Jenny, it what I call "The Unmodded Dslr Palette" :P

Cheers also Justing and thanx for your advice earlier on CC's, these scope are in desperate need of the right one , , Yep !

TY Steve and totally agree, like the falsely coloured Blue star spikes in it, uh oh, cats out da bag and could be dangerous : )

Hey thanx Rick ! !

TY Dave, & yes, stars not great due to a few possible things, Collimation was a smidge off (teardrop stars) & may have effected stacking somewhat ? and/ or other as Jay mentions below !

Thanx also for your comment Jay, Tracking/guiding I can probably rule out, more likely a dodgy stack and/or the fact of Collimation ? ? My allignment star was in the brighter neb area and the stars @ top left frame seem to be the worse on the full file, so some scrutiny needed, maybe ?

Yer kind of looks like something got into the stack, maybe a bit of PE, guess you would have to go through the shots and weed out the offender. Dam nice work all the same and take what i say with a grain of salt, my experience isn't as vast as others.

Alls good Jay, I just checked the frames and they all have weird shaped stars from Collimation off slightly, Focus a smidge out, and the Coma Correcter I borrowed was Not doing the job 100% !
All soughted, thanx !
