I have always had problems autoguiding accurately when using a TAL 200K which has a focal length of 1790mm with FR/FF. About half of the exposures or more were unusable because of random jumps in both RA and DEC.
Last night with full moon tested Guidemaster for two long imaging runs.

The guiding as you can see from the pictures was very good. In fact the HEQ5 has never performed so well. Guidemaster quickly corrected for even the worst jumps. I am now thinking of getting Astromeccanica motors for this mount, should make it even better.

great shots there Bert.
What focal ratio are you operating your scope at?
Thanks.

The Tal 200k is natively a 200mm diameter 2000mm FL scope. With a Hutech FR/FF comes down to 1790 and about F9.0. These better pictures show me that the FR/FF needs further tweaking (thickness of spacer ring) as the field is not quite flat.
