My first ever moon photo

First clear day, and night for ages.
Best chance to set up my 14" dob in the yard and see if it works okay. Keep fingers crossed.
After collimating the scope I looked up and saw the moon. Still daylight but what the heck I thought.
Got the point and shoot camera up to the Vixen LVW22 and clicked. This is the result. Pretty happy I am.

Thanks Dav and Jennifer,

I am really surprised it came out so well considering reading some posts on how difficult afocal imaging is.

Luckily the Vixen has an eyepiece rubber and the Canon A610 lens fits perfectly inside without touching the eyepiece glass.
I just butted the camera lens to the rubber, waited 10 seconds then clicked the button. Easy as that.
