Expressions of interest/ offers for this very nice telescope and mount. The williams optics focusser and finder are accessories that are worth more than the scope. The mount is a recently purchased ioptron cube pro from andrews and the tripod is from my skywatcher NEQ6. I do have the original ioptron tripod but have as you see made an adapter for the sky watcher tripod . I would appreciate sensible offers based on the component values , my reason for looking at selling is that it is taking up too much cupboard space. It has been used about twice on this and a different mount in the last two years I have only got it out today as i want to use it for the transit of venus. Optics are excellent.Will consider separating bits only if scope sold first . Prefer pick up.

Any more details?
Type of refractor? Focal length? Age?
Hard to express interest without more details...

Hi grant,
It's a 600mm focal length skywatcher ed80 pro series , not sure the age as I swapped it for a 13" dob about 2years ago .

Pm sent re Ed 80. The pro gold tubes were made in the late 90s to early noughties.

Hi Bo,
Your comment on the telescopes age caused me to research it on the net. The gold Ed pro series came out after 2006 , where you got 1990's from I don't know???

Apologies :ashamed::ashamed::ashamed::ashamed :
There was also a review of it on this site, dating from 2006.

Haha Bo! Not to butt in but yup, the 80ED Gold came out in the 2000s :) It has exactly the same optics as the black diamonds that cost *alot* more. I bought a new 80ED Pro (Gold), and it is an excellent scope. Infact its probably the most used scope I have, very little if no CA even on bright objects like the moon and does exceptionally well for astrophotography too (If you decide to get into it) :) Well worth its weight!

Have withdrawn expressions of interest/offers , as offers so far do not reflect the value of the scope.
