I have a collectors Meade 10" RCX for sale. I am not the first owner of the scope but all works really well and I would like to sell it as I am not using it enough to warrant owning this. These scopes have incredibly flat fields and pin sharp (just like a refractor) stars.

Some of the features I found really useful are autocollimation, internal dew heater, carbon fibre tube and of course the meade software. Fans in the OTA as also really good. There is a minor scratch on the tube and a screw missing from the finder scope assembly. I have not imaged with it but have used it primarily on visual work. A former member here used one of these for imaging and produced great results with it. I am sure this scope will be the same.

The tripod is huge and makes a standard tripod look small and very light weight too. The whole scope setup is very stable but is heavier than a standard LX200R 10" scope.

Since this is a bit of a novelty item I am looking at recovering a fair price. I will send this via Pack Send to any other State. The cost of that is about $500 and I have used them before with great success. The scope has a JMI hard case for maximum protection.

Sale price including freight $3900 ONO.

I will put up photos if requested.

Edit: amended to consider the current LX200 prices

It annoys me frankly - when the seller says he will post pictures if anyone interested - I say yes please and post deleted?

It annoys me more when I ask would he consider writing a review (as I can find none here) and if written it would influence my decision - and post deleted.

This is just over zealous moderating in my humble opinion. I'm glad Paul has a serious buyer - as I would have to have sold my other scopes to fund this - but please, don't deleted posts that are relavant to a buy decision, especially where they are taking the seller up on his offer to post more information!

Matthew, I will try to write a review of this telescope in the coming months if that is any help. In short I really liked a lot of the design features of this telescope and wonder shy on earth this particular telescope was removed as the flagship. It would be great if you could buy the tube with all the accessories controlled from the back of the tube. That would be well worth a purchase.
