what a great image. That Lagoon Nebulae has got a wonderful 3d effect going on and looks as if it is almost like a big portal to the cluster of stars that lay beyond.

Wow! Great field, colours and detail! I always enjoy when the Lagoon is extended to include IC 4685 and the dark lane around it.

Thanks for a great view.

Great FOV and composition - colours look spot on - detail great

Wow - you would have to be happy with that I think and look at those tiny exposure times.

Cheers

Thanks Steve...think I'm going to start an education program on expsoure times. As Martin hinted at, it's all to do with S/N....hence sometimes too much exposure simply bloats & saturates the field stars

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with the colour on this one.

Much appreciated Alex!

Thanks for the positive feedback.

Very nice, you have the blue around the lagoon, great 3D depth to the image but you are missing the blue in around the 6559. However given the limited amount of time you have, this is a remarkable image. Love the saturation too.

Input appreciated Paul...I suspect it's there (6559 blue), but in "respecting the light" the core of M8 would have gone ballistic... That's not to say some tinkering can't be done

Very nice Peter. I cannot get over the relatively tiny amount of exposure that was needed to produce this.

Where is my RHA?!:mad2:

Cheers

Ta Martin....RHA on order? well....given the right price... you could have (a slightly used) one in a jiffy! :D

Well, I'm not that serious...but ....being pragmatic... every man has his price....and Ferrari bits are expensive.
