I most probably wont add to this image as its just a time line image for me.
Taken while I had one new beginner and another astrophotographer in a learn about AP night.
taken with 3hrs of 10 min Lum, 2 10 min R and B, and 1 10 min G in my house just south of Mandurah with my normal rig
No flats or darks applied, cam at -30 deg

Very smooth image Brendan. I think there is a little more to be had in the nebulosity though.

Thanks all.
Paul, there probably is but with a major city centre 2km from my door step :) and the fact that in total there is only 2 blues 2 reds and 1 green sub :) stretching the data isn't really a option.
Admittedly if i put another 3 or 4 each in the colour I'de probably start pushing the envelope! That and i have to sort a flats panel out to sort a slight light drop off and dust motes :)
Trev :) good quality filters make getting the colour just right... easy! :)
You just have to love un attended capture. Makes imaging so much easier. Till next time!

Nothing wrong with that, considering the limited data it's a great cygnet

Tuesday night I discovered that this nebula responds well visually to the DGM NPB filter. But what's that got to do with astrophotography? Err, nothing really, I just thought I'd mention it somewhere :D
But this image was useful, thanks Brendan, to remind myself of the extent of the nebula. The filter really lifts the contrast.

Thanks Eric and Mike. I might treck down the road about 15 20 minutes just to escape some of the lights. Might help me get out to my 15 min range that i so love to go at :) and then start hunting my fave nebs ;D
Nice going Brendan, for limited data as you say.

Nice effort Brendan, a fine Newt capture - I can never see the swan?!!? Looks more like a trout.
Cheers,
steve
