I want a small scope. An f8 6 inch dobson or equatorial newtonian is perfect. If you have 5 inch, or refrator, may be ok too. Will trade (don't laugh...) bonsai tree/s. I have a choice available that would value up to $30k or more. I will give a good trade. Alan Plummer (Blue Mountains, NSW)

Hello Alan
I don't want to trade for bonsai as I'm not a gardener but I have an 8" f6 home made ( with commercial optics ) newt / dob that I'd like to pass on to someone who can use it, as I have too many scopes and not enough space. Can send photos if you like and am asking $250 or there abouts.
Kind Regards
Jeff

G'day Alan,
Just saw your wanted ad for a 6" scope.
I am getting ready to sell my 6" Skywatcher F8 Refractor scope. This was my first scope and has been a terrific scope for learning the skies on. While I am very attached to it, I have just upgraded to a C11 so it really isn't being used any more.
I upgraded the focuser to a Moonlite Crayford 10:1 tri-knob focuser (with focus lock) last year at a cost of $500. This is the silkiest, smoothest most accurate focuser I have ever used. I now have one on my C11 too! They really make viewing at high powers a pleasure.
Anyway, I would be prepared to sell the scope and moonlite focuser for $850, or might consider separating the moonlite and just selling the scope with the original R&P focuser probably around the $500 mark.
Let me know if you are interested. There are couple of photos of the scope already in the following ad link as I am selling some 6" rings that I don't need anymore.

Let me know if you might be interested. I am normally at the Katoomba airfield star party each month with the scope if you want look through it.
Cheers
