As is know to all, this June is going to foresee the Venus transits. As an international student in Adelaide, I would like to observe this magic phenomenon in Adelaide and referencing to my friend's observation in my homeland in the Northern Hemisphere to measure the distance between the Earth and the Sun, which is defined as 1 AU.

However, the climate in Adelaide usually brings much overcast or rain in winter, which indicates that my observation in Adelaide would probably be failed. Hence, I'm looking for someone in other cities to do this observation together. As a reward, I would be pleased to give him or her the parameters that my friends measured in my homeland in Northern Hemisphere.

The observor need to:
1. Give me the accurate geographic coordinates;
2. The time from internal ingress to external egress;
3. The time from internal egress to external egress.

Of course, I would definitely give you the parameters above that my friend get in Northern Hemisphere as well !
Thanks a lot!!!

Notes:
There are four named "contacts" during a transit — moments when the circumference of Venus touches the circumference of the Sun at a single point:
First contact (external ingress): Venus is entirely outside the disk of the Sun, moving inward
Second contact (internal ingress): Venus is entirely inside the disk of the Sun, moving further inward
Third contact (internal egress): Venus is entirely inside the disk of the Sun, moving outward
Fourth contact (external egress): Venus is entirely outside the disk of the Sun, moving outward.

Good luck - I love the historical significance of Venus Transits.
I will be viewing and imaging (touch wood) the event in Ha - I will be of no value as I believe all timings are under white light conditions!

I will have a white-light setup and can do the above, drop me a line.

Likewise, I will be recording both HAlpha and white light in Brisbane. Send me a PM.

Don't count Adelaide out just yet. Long range forcast looks good at present, so we might be in for a show. Besides I don't really want to dirve to NT to get this image.
