Average seeing, but a clear blue sky in Sydney on May 16th.

Took a picture of the Sun. Hope you enjoy the view.

Wow. Spectacular Peter. You and Paul have really got solar imaging sorted out. I need to get on to this - got a perfectly good scope and camera sitting there doing nothing!

cheers

Thanks Martin. Sorted? ...there have been days....

Appreciated!

Thanks Al. Yep...my standard solar pic. Not quite sure how to take them to another level, but suspect the major hurdle is the seeing.

Just perfect, lovely colours and nice crisp details everywhere. It really has an impact. That'll look great with Venus in transit!

Nice Peter. Detail galore. More of a filagree look that you were after. I really like your prom detail. I reckon the extra diameter of your scope is making for much brighter images. Time to consider other options I think.

Wow – perfect all the way through; capturing, managing the data, processing and presentation. I sincerely hope that on 6th June, weather permitting, we’re going to see the same, + Venus, from you Peter!

Cheers

Ta Dennis....just hope the weather holds!

Thanks Paul, but I don't think the aperture makes that much difference....

Roll on solar maximum!

A black, planet sized dot, would look cool :)

Yeah baby!

Peter,

I have shown this image to a number of people as a must see. They have been all blown away with it. It really helped explain what the passion is all about!

thanks

Thanks for the recent feedback guys.

I'll have to start lopping some tree branches that get in the way at my house (early morning ) for the up-coming transit.... hopefully the weather and Sun will co-operate!
