Modded Canon 40D body for sale. Package includes:

- body
- charger
- original box, manuals, cables, software CD
- neck strap

I'd love to be able to include working batteries, but alas they seem to have died. I have 3 batteries, but they don't seem to hold charge any more. I was using an AC adapter so the batteries have been a bit neglected. I can throw them in if you like, but I make no guarantees that they'll be able to be resurrected.

I've had a couple of PMs asking similar questions, so will answer here as well for all.

The mod was done by the original owner in the US. I bought it brand new in box from him. Can't recall his real name, but his nickname was stargazr27 I think. I had seen his work before and trust his workmanship. The stock IR filter was removed and replaced with clear glass I believe. It's not the Baader filter mod. I had the autofocus calibrated here in Aus by Canon.

Had a few questions about how many shutter actuations. I had no idea. Found this software that can talk to the camera. Refer attached screengrab.

By the way, it's also not bad at taking terrestrial shots. I used it for these macros:

Love the macro photos. Which lens did you use with the camera?

Pretty sure both were taken with Sigma 150 and 68mm Kenko extension tubes.
