If you have been enjoying the long run of fine Sydney weather this month, apparently
it has been the driest start to May since 1882, with not a drop of rain having been
officially recorded.
Last night was, not surprisingly, the coldest of the year.

Meantime, the Bureau of Meteorology reports that climate indicators across the tropical
Pacific Ocean remain neutral (neither El Niņo nor La Niņa), as is the Indian Ocean
Dipole (IOD).

With Cairns Nov 2012 looming fast, a shift away from the La Niņa conditions of the
last two years might help tilt the odds a little bit closer to clear skies on the morning.
