From my photo shoot the other day.
The dynamic range of the camera is impressive. See the panorama of the Opera House to the Harbour Bridge with the Sun in it full on. It came up looking more like a star than a blazing light source.

Greg. That is a nice camera. That is commercial quality stuff.
Did you use HDR tone mapping at all?

Love the pano...
Colours are so subtle, can hardly believe ISO 50!

No did not use HDR. HDR does not seem to be needed that often with this camera - it is very strong in capturing shadows and you can push them later on if you want. I did not do any levels/curves on these.
Cheers Deeno.
Its the first camera I have had that has ISO 50.
ISO 50 was very handy to get a 30 second long exposure in early evening at F7.1 or 8 for the depth of field. 30 seconds is handy because if anyone walks into the shot they don't show up, nor do the passing ferries except for a few interesting yellow or red lines in the shot.

Thanks Mike.
I am having fun with this camera and it has revitalised my interest in terrestial imaging.
I plan on doing some astro time lapse with it as well. I ordered a triggertrap cable and dongle for use with an iphone app that lets you do just about anything with time lapse and other long exposure photography.
Its worth checking out.

Great Pano. How did you match the water patterns?
gregbradley

All done by PT Gui Pro. I didn't do anything to match them, its all done by the software. But good point. Its pretty seamless.
I take the panos quite quickly so I guess that helps and I wait until a boat or something in the scene that is moving has left.

Thanks Troy.
Long exposure night city shots are hard to beat. Such great colours come up.

Nice pano's, Greg. I especially liked the night-time image - that granite rail on the left frames the shot very nicely.
