All advice welcome, just starting out.
I think a little out of focus and some of the surface deatil is on the lens not the sun?
Taken with Canon 1100D attach by a SteadyPiX to a TV 14mm Radian eyepiece.
ISO - 100, Speed - 1/100 WB - Shade

Kevin, love the images I think they are great I to am starting out. Can see the that the solar movment coming from the lower section is clearly visible. The whisps can be seen very well even if some of the rest is from the lens. The focus does not look far away, cant wait to see more.

Your best bet would be to get a mono CCD camera to use with the PST.
Attached is an image taken yesterday with the PST and a DMK21 camera, unfortunately I had quite a heavy whispy cloud in front of the sun when trying to image.

You could process the images you have taken by using registax.
Just load in the image and mess with the sliders for wavelets and you will extract some more detail out of your images. Well done catching that giant prom!

Thanks Carl, Peter

I will have a play with Registax and having done some reading I think I lost some quality when I resized before uploading. Cheers
