Managed to get some testing done in between clouds and also collected this image of NGC6188.

It is 11x8 minutes of 3nm NII 4MB

It looks like 3nm filters are the go if you want to go deep in narrow band with the Moon present. Below is a Stellarium image showing where the Moon was in relation to NGC6188. I was using the roll off roof to stop the direct Moonlight getting onto or into the RH200.


The guiding needs further tweaking as it seemed to be hunting. It could have been chasing poor seeing while I was dodging cloud.

I was out that direction this morning with a 5nm bandpass Ha and got a lot of moonlight.

Goto to love the field of view here nice predentation as well. Will u be adding coulouras well ? ( i hope )

Niiiice. Aaaand... I just realised what an idiot I am. I took 2 hours of this in Ha last night , but was more concentrating on star shapes etc that I didn't recompose and must juuuuuuust be missing NGC6164/6165 by a smidgen. Think it's worth me going again tonight and getting it in.

That NII really has a lot of data to offer, I am enjoying watching this imaging rig come along.
