Might as well be first up. No artistry with this one but I just loved the shot!

Congrats Houghy (I presume) Great shot last month:thumbsup:

I think the "over the shoulder" look makes this one ;)

Interesting thing about this bird...it is the only member of the cuckoo family that builds its own nest and rears its own young in that nest! They are terrible flyers and after I took this image, the bird flew off from high in the tree, glided across the road and had to pull up VERY sharply to avoid totalling the neighbour's bird bath.

The Starlings!

Here's a pic I captured while in one of Australia's oldest parks, Maitland Park.
Above the 'Richard Alexander Young Memorial Drinking Fountain' the starlings flew.

Hi all

Looking through photo's of our trip to the UK I came across a few that I thought worthy of the April comp, no heads missing in these ones!! phew!

I would have loved to have included both the male and female ducks - but I had to choose.

She looks pretty cheeky!

An interested onlooker while I was fishing in the Maroochy River....needless to say we were both disappointed with my angling prowess.

Tried for a duck, then the pelicans, but came back to the Rosellas. The Grandkids had a ball at this place.
