Hi all
I have been lucky enough to witness a couple of Eta Aquarid fireballs over the past couple of nights - one around mag -4 - quite spectacular.
Both were bright white (magnesium content perhaps),
Anyone else seen much activity from this shower?
cheers
Dave

Hi Dave,
What direction and about what time did you them?
(It looks like you live in the same area as I)

Hi Allan
Last nights fireball was around 20.00EST travelling from NE to NNW.
Previous one was around 2030 EST through a lucky break in the clouds travelling NE to SSE
I am assuming they are related to the Aquarid shower since the tracks of both meteors tracked back roughly to where the radiant would be (though not risen at that time)
cheers
Dave
