Here is a composite photo of a moonlit night - 6th April 2012, 1:10am, ~3 days? before full Moon - from Cradle Valley in Tassie. The Moon is behind the camera illuminating the landscape.
Fujifilm Finepix F30 compact digital camera, 15 second exposures, ISO 800, f/4. Six dark frame subtracted photos combined using autostitch, contrast stretched and gamma increased with ImageMagick/GIMP. Single pass of GIMP Dilate filter to enhance stars.
