Its tough this astrophotography business , after 8hrs {6pm-2am}of setting up scope/pc/camera and polar-aligning these two images attached are the fruit of thy labour :P I wont go into the humourous frustrations during the night but I will say thanks to Mr Striker for capping it off with his marvellous Omega Centuri image {:mad2: scumbag}

Great work Stuart! That Eta shot is stunning, love the keyhole!

nice Jupiter too.. Do me a favour, take the image and in AstraImage redeuce the gamma to 0.7 or so, or in photoshop, open a new curves layer and drag it below. I think it'll reveal a bit more detail. Nice image scale and a huge improvement on your last effort.

Mike you are too kind, twas a dodgy night, after packing up in disgust around 2am i remembered that I had forgotten to get a series of dark frames :sadeyes: Lucky i had some on file but I had to crop the final image because of amp glow in the top left hand corner. Jupiter was a mess last night but fired off 5 avis, thanks for the tip Ill give it a go. I was going to post these two attached images in the other section with my 2/4/06 efforts from the best AVI on the night , redid the processing this morning and think they came out OK
