Hi to all.
It was approximately 18 months ago I start reading IIS and a few other select sites scouring for information on how to enter into amateur astronomy and after 3 months reading every night I when with the C8.
Very lucky on first light and found Saturn in all her glory now hooked for life. Over the next 12 months added eyepieces, equipment etc on a regular basis coming home from Bintel saying to my daughter each time, that’s it don’t need anything more, she just laughs
Anyway, kept an eye on the pic’s on IIS and for fun pulled out the canon compact camera and took a shot through the EP, it was good enough to get me thinking about photograph. Given the C8 is not the scope for Deep Space I put the option aside for awhile until last month rang Bintel ( very helpful people) on the off chance they could help out, which they could and now the owner of a wedge.
The next thing I did that going to add the late nights was read Phil Hart’s - Shooting the Stars and have commenced pointing the camera at the night sky. Having heaps of fun and love reading and learning from all the comments on IIS.
Lots pictures taken and deleted, some I have kept (not very good) my current favourite 4 are attached
