Gday all, I've (finally) got a Meade 10" SCT coming. It has a Kendrick Kwick focus mask and Kendrick off axis solar filter(goes inside mask) included. I've never used these before, but have had the Full aperture glass solar filter before and i like 'em. Which design would be better for observing the upcoming Venus transit and for general solar viewing?

PS,,If you have a 10" Full aperture style filter you no longer require please drop me a PM. Thanks all Mat

Hi,

Related: I'm thinking of getting a off axis 12" filter for my Dob or a full aperture filter. Can somebody post a link to a website that posts full aperture filters? Is there any noticeable differences between the two and is there a difference in price?

Thanks, Sean

I wouldn't delay this ... filters are low in stock at the moment. I've been waiting several weeks for a filter order to come in and am starting to get nervous.

I wont be observing the transit as I have a history exam on at the same time (d'oh). So I realize it might take a while with the amount of people ordering the filters.
