Hi all,
As I was leaving home this morning I noticed a spider web full of suspended raindrops that was within easy reach, so I ducked inside and grabbed my camera (which luckily had the macro lens attached). I also couldn't resist having another go at raindrop refraction flower images. I only had time to shoot a few images as I had to take the kids to school, but I managed a few keepers.
Thanks for looking!
Cheers,
Stephen

You're getting better at these!
I think the guru of these shots uses a focus stacking technique - there's a tutorial on his website. It was an interesting read, but I haven't the time to devote to anything like that. Try searching for "dew drop refractions"???

Top shots Stephen - love the first and last.
Now I want to see a long exposure shot of M42 reflected/refracted through a dew drop please - that would be extreme AP! :D

Thanks very much Peter!

Thanks David! Yes, I've seen the focus-stacked examples (by Brian Valentine / LordV), but I haven't tried that approach yet. I didn't have much time for these, so I just did a quick hand-held job.

Stephen
Thanks Rob! Glad you like them. Getting an M42 refraction would be a serious challenge! It would be interesting to try something like Crux though...

Thanks very much Mike, Deeno, Rolf, Roger and Adam! I'm quite happy with how these came out, given the rush that I was in taking them.
Cheers,
Stephen

beautiful images...
Excellent work Stephen.
I must have a go at this, I've noticed that the cooler mornings are having some nice effects on the spider webs around here.
