i cannot beleive they are the same information but so different

Coming from a strictly beginner amateur, i would like to see the core of the second image in the first image if possible. I think that combination would look great. Just don't ask me how to do it, i couldn't tell you:lol:.
They both look great and light years ahead of where i am at the moment.

There is a issue with your colour balance mate.

The colour green doesn't appear often at all in space.

here is a rendition that i have done in the last few months for you to reference off if you would like.

Keep a eye on your histograms to align the RGB channels. use Levels in Photoshop if your using that, by gradually sliding the black point and white points in and then using the grey point to boost the data thats there.

do this to all three channels seperately.

That is called Linear streching

Next use Curves, thats your non linear streching in where you can hold the back ground and pull the mids and highlights up.

good luck and keep going

thanks a lot steve these are the first times i have ever used a dslr so i find it hard to think i have passed anywhere yet!
brendan that is a great shot and looks much more lifelike
i do not have photoshop and the second rendition was where i found out you could click on each channel and adjust individually without moving the whole histogram(?) i viscious jerking movements!
these "stretching" and "curves" i dont have a clue about yet as well as flats and darks
getting there sloooowwwwly!
thanks for the replys guys
