The things you do to keep the peace…. i was forced to take my son to see the trains ;) . I will say I am not a train spotter by any means but this weekend gone we had Steamfest running. Over an hour of spotting on Sat and Sunday, I took my son to Sandgate Railway station to see the steam trains go past, and a lot of commuter trains and Freight and coal haulage trans as well. The highlight was the great train race with a tiger moth on the Sunday. Lucky the weather held off for that one I can tell you. Not more than 30 min after the race left us we got rained on ;)

If you have any interest in steam, I urge you to take a trip south to Thirlmere (near Picton) and visit the working train museum there. It's utterly monstrous, and well worth the fuel.

Thanks Houghy,
That bridge is a bit unusual for the trains, camera angle makes it look like a sudden sharp incline. Is it as bad as it looks or just a result of tele lens field compression.
Looks like you and the boy had a good time as well.

That is where I used to live in hornsby heights. I built the railway in 1992 but it was removed when I moved to Beaumont Hills in 2000. Ask Marco about my trains.

Regretably I was not allowed to rebuild it at Beaumont Hills after making sure that the house position could fit it.
