Hello,
This is my first post on Ice In Space.
I decided to go for a Drive to a reasonably dark place to make a MilkyWay panno. After a good ol' play in Stelarium, I found the placement and shape to be quite good for about 3.30 am.
Image is composed of 7 shots in a straight line vertical panorama from 215 Degrees to 35 Degrees.
ISO 1250
30 Sec
F 3.5
At 18mm
White Balance = Daylight
It seems Upon arrival it hit the dew point, and the orange cast is from 2-3 porch lights within 500meters
Ideally I see this as a vertical image, tho I rotated it 90degrees clockwise for ease of viewing on your monitors.
After this first attempt, I am already planning for a f1.4 lens !
I hope you all like it, and would greatly appreciate any feedback.
BTW
I applied Black point, lens correction and noise reduction in Lightroom and a tiny colour correction to make up for the Dew.
Overall the 240km round trip to Tyaak was well worth it just for the view and joy in this learning experience ( new obsession )
