Celestron Super C8 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope on a fork mount with an equatorial wedge and mount. The drive base incorporates a Byers 359 tooth worm gear drive with a single synchronous 240V AC motor designed for both astrophotography and visual observing.

Wedge has a Deluxe latitude adjuster (0 to 60 degrees) and Bubble level to assist with Polar alignment. Mount is adjustable from 74 to 130 cm in height.

Includes the following accessories

Case for scope and finder
6x30mm finder scope
Visual back for 1.25" accessories
1.25" star diagonal
25mm E-Lux eyepiece
7mm Orthoscopic eyepiece
Aluminium 12V dew shield

In good condition.

I am selling the items as they are surplus to requirements, taking up space and they really ought to be in use by someone.

If required, I can show you how to use the telescope and accessories.

Asking for $800.00.

Regards

Paul

 Nice scope Paul , its a wonder that no one has snapped this . So mate I knotice in the photos that in one the finder is mounted on a fork arm and on another it seems to be mounted on the top of the tube ? ( aka as the normal spot ) am I right :). ? . Two mounting spots ?
If this is still avaliable in early june I will be very interested . Thanks .
Brian.

Contrary to appearances there is only one finder scope location - it just depends on which way round the scope is :).

Just for information - I have used the OTA on a Losmandy mount in the past and there are attachment holes for this as well I have also had a balancing weight set and there are attachment holes for that as well as for a piggyback for an SLR camera, which I could probably find if I looked and will throw it in if I do.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this mount contains the same gears as advertised here

Hello Paul
I have just registered with ice in space and am a beginner.
All the advice seems to be aperture for a good scope. So I was wondering how much it would cost to freight your scope to Wollongong, NSW.
Does it come with any instructions?
Also I may need a little time to put some dollars aside.

Thanks Colin

Paul Thanks for the reply. Would you mind making an enquiry at your end and letting me know your price including normal courrier delivery. I presume if I have a problem with the pdf and set up I could give you a call? I'm not sure if the freight costs will blow my budget. Thks

Paul Was having a look at your photos. I presume the black case in the pic is for the scope. For freighting all that would be needed is to bubble wrap the mount assembled, which the courier will supply, and if needed add bubble wrap inside the case for the scope. Courriers have a fragile and handle with care stickers and system.

It is still currently sale pending, because the offer was from Tassie and I have been busy this has been a bit slow getting finalised. I have already packed everything for sending and as long as the funds come through it will be sold. If it falls through I will let you know.
