Had a spare half hour or so last night to fire up the scope....
M8 was till pretty low...so just H-alpha data at this stage. The clincher for me was a mere 20 minutes exposure time.
The link is here (http://www.atscope.com.au/BRO/gallery152.html) (50% res)
That has some nice detail and depth in it Peter.
And to top it off, it is only 20 Minutes.

Mind blowing 20min. That's just freaky.

Thanks, but it's a relatively bright object. Unfortunately work (and I suspect weather) won't allow any follow-up data for a few days....
Ta. M8 can be tricky.... it almost has a s much dynamic range as M42.
I'm thinking narrow band for this one :)

I wonder how much more will be uncovered when you've collected more subs, never the less that AP appears to be working well for you,

Lovely delicate detail.
Detail that you can easily lose with much longer exposures.

Pretty amazing for 20 minutes Peter. I would be well pleased with that.

Love those tendrils just off to the left of the frame. Like faint whisps, more data will work better for you.

Very nice. Great contrast for only 20 minutes. That scope will end up being a legend and perhaps Roland's finest work.
Greg.
